Ellen DeGeneres is the next celeb who is looking to stake her claim in the skincare market. Yesterday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” she announced the launch of Kind Science skincare. Ellen said that the line – which is set for release at the end of this month – has been developed over the past three years. The new company encourages consumers to “embrace your age, not your wrinkles! Kind Science is high performance, effective skincare that’s made for everybody.” The company boasts their products are kind to skin, animals, and the environment. Ellen previously had a longtime partnership with CoverGirl over several years. She first became the face of CoverGirl in 2008 and it was a highly successful partnership as CoverGirl became the first US cosmetic brand to hit $1 billion in sales within a year of the Ellen launch. Ellen touched on some of the benefits and even explained the name as she said: “We call it Kind Science because it is kind to animals, it is kind to your skin, it’s kind to the planet, and it’s kind to your wallet. So it’s all kind.”
