Lite 99.3FM Raises Over $90,000 for Meaford Hospital Foundation During “On Air for Healthcare” Radiothon.
Meaford, ON – December 23, 2024 – The “On Air for Healthcare” Radiothon, hosted by Medford’s own Lite 99.3FM on Saturday, December 21, raised an incredible $90,000 in support of the Meaford Hospital Foundation. These funds will be used to purchase a new ventilator for the hospital, enhancing critical care services for the community.
Listeners and community members contributed through phone-in, online, and in-person donations, responding enthusiastically to special challenges and matching donation opportunities throughout the event. The remarkable outpouring of support exceeded expectations, ensuring a direct and meaningful impact on the hospital’s ability to provide life-saving care.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our community,” said Wendy Moffat of Lite 99.3FM. “The success of the ‘On Air for Healthcare’ Radiothon was made possible by the incredible support of our listeners, local businesses, and sponsors. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a new ventilator, a vital piece of equipment for patient care at Brightshores Meaford Hospital.”
