It's Wednesday, February 25th. Good morning. Happy hump day. We've got a risk of snow squalls, flurries off and on today, at least 5 centimeters, windy, and cold wind chills minus one will feel minus 12. The dollar still hovering around 73 cents. I'm Stacey Englehart. A new weather advisory in store today, Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County. Environment Canada issued a snow squall watch with up to 15 centimeters today, starting early this morning, continuing into this evening. Keep in mind, snowfall amounts will vary as bands are expected to shift. Road closures are possible. You're being asked to consider rescheduling travel and outdoor activities. Roughly 61,000 Canadians in Mexico have registered with Ottawa. The push to register comes as authorities keep a close eye on recent violence linked to Sunday's killing of a drug cartel kingpin. Canadian flights have resumed and officials say conditions are stabilizing, but travelers are still urged to follow guidance from local officials. Canada's expanding military and financial support for Ukraine as Russia's war enters a fifth year. Prime Minister Kearney announced $2 billion in new military aid, including the delivery of 400 armored vehicles and the extension of Canada's troop training mission by three years. And the weather network is out with a spring forecast and it looks like it's going to be sluggish and volatile heading into the season.
