A 48-year-old man is in custody after a high-stakes weapons seizure at a local business last Saturday morning. Officers with Southern Georgian Bay OPP said they intercepted 3 individuals on Quarry Road just before noon. And what began as a warrant check escalated when police said they spotted an unsecured loaded firearm inside the vehicle. Christopher LeDoux of Georgian Bay now faces five criminal charges. Southern Georgian Bay OPP urging local businesses and residents to double check their cash after a surge of counterfeit 50 and one hundredths. Reports of fake currency have surfaced across Midland and Penetanguishene. Police advising the public to check for irregular textures, poor print quality, or missing security holograms. Ford government has officially canceled accountability.
