A major Rd. in Gray County is back open after a lengthy police investigation. OPP had closed Gray Bruce line north of Chesley before 2 yesterday afternoon after a serious collision. The stretch between concession 4 and six was closed for almost 7 hours. It opened after 8.30 last night. No details on injuries have been released. Saugeen Shores police have charged seven people after responding to a weapons complaint. Wednesday, police were called to a weapons incident in Port Elgin. As a result, seven people on scene were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, among other charges. An OPP officer convicted of giving preferential treatment to two tow companies in the GTA. has been fired. Police say Roberto Visconti's employment was terminated, saying his misconduct and disciplinary hearings were held without him. He pleaded guilty to account a breach of trust in 2024 and was initially handed a suspended sentence and 12 months of probation. He took the airport, so now he's going to buy a couple of highways.
