Well, Mother Nature is giving us another taste of winter weather before spring arrives in exactly a week. We're under a special weather statement upwards of 15 centimeters by tomorrow. Strong, gusty winds, reduce visibility, power outages. are possible, JD will have the forecast throughout the morning. OPP arrested a suspect after a drug trafficking investigation in Tate Township. Police say they seized 1.3 kilos of cocaine and close to $50,000 in property believed to be proceeds of crime. A 40-year-old suspect is being held in custody. While the exodus to get out of Dodge usually starts today, March break is next week for most students, so expect longer lines at airports this weekend if you're traveling anywhere. Now, many Canadians have opted for alternative March break destinations this year as unrest and violence disrupt tourism in some of the traditional affordable destinations. According to some travel agents, people are choosing to go to new countries while others are staying put. While the official opposition in Ottawa is pressing the government on its lack of candor regarding the war in the Middle East, a conservative defense critic said the Kearney government's being too tight-lipped about a reported missile strike on an air base in Kuwait where Canadian armed forces are stationed. OHL last night, Barry lost to Ottawa 3-2 in overtime. Tonight, Owen Sound is in Kitchener at 7. Baseball preseason. The Jays lost to the Phillies 8, 5, and 8 innings. The game was cut short because of rain. Jays face Minnesota this afternoon at 1. World Baseball Classic, Canada plays the U.S. in the quarterfinals tonight at 8. The Raptors host Phoenix tonight at 7.30, and this is the final weekend for the Paralympics in Italy. Canada currently sits in 14th place with 10 medals so far.
