While the new year is here in just three days, a large portion of Ontario under a weather advisory, we are under 2 for Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County, a wind warning and a snow squall warning. Environment Canada warns snow squalls possible today into tomorrow. Up to 40 centimeters with really strong gusty winds at 90 kilometers. Travel will be hazardous. Some routes could be impassable. You're being asked to prepare for extremely dangerous driving conditions. JD will have the forecast coming up. Members of the crime unit of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment of the OPP have now arrested five people after a jewelry store was robbed this past summer. On June 20th, at about 5 in the afternoon, officers were called to reports that masked individuals entered a store armed with tools and forcibly removed merchandise before fleeing. Police said everyone arrested was from the Toronto area and were mostly teens. Canadian travelers could face more airline disruptions this year as labor tensions persist in the aviation sector. Strikes by Air Canada flight attendants and WestJet mechanics since 2024, along with potential action from Porter, WestJet pilots and air transit staff amid ongoing contract disputes. Long-term contracts with modest raises, rising living costs and pandemic financial pressures. have fueled friction between unions and management. And in the NFL yesterday, winners included Philly, San Grand, Miami, New England, Cleveland, Cincinnati, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Seattle, the Giants. Tonight, the Rams are in Atlanta.
