Owen Sound police investigating a break-in that happened at a home in the city's east end early yesterday morning. Police appealing to residents in the area near 7th between 1st and 6th Street to check their available security or dash cam footage between the hours of 2 in the morning and 4.30. And if you see anything suspicious, contact police. Two people from Meaford charged with trafficking drugs. Police said their investigation started in March and focused on a residential unit. According to Gray Bruce OPP, a search warrant was executed at the end of May. Two people inside were arrested. OPP said they seized thousands of dollars in fentanyl, meth, and codeine. A 45-year-old Meaford man and a 38-year-old Meaford woman faced charges. Canada will be getting a new governor general this week. Mary Simon will be replaced by Louise Arbor, a former Supreme Court justice and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The 79-year-old Montreal native will be installed in the post during a ceremony.
