It's Thursday, January 22nd. Good morning, flurries and snow squalls again this afternoon. The dollar 72.28 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. Well, we're back to another weather warning. Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning. Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County among the areas affected. snow overnight and more into tomorrow with a potential of up to 40 centimeters. Significantly reduced visibility because of heavy blowing snow. You're being told to prepare for quickly deteriorating Rd. conditions and non-essential travel or outdoor activities should be avoided. Now keep in mind, weather conditions have closed a couple of highways. Highway 610 in both directions between Owens Sound and Chatsworth, all lanes are closed. A portion of Highway 21 also closed from Port Elgin to Amber. OPP in Southern Georgian Bay have been conducting patrols at Skidoo trails throughout North Simcoe. Police say they charged a 29-year-old for Midland when he was caught with no driver's license, no insurance, or ownership for the snowmobile. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days. Since January 1st, Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers have laid 17 offenses and issued 15 warnings on OFSC trails. Southern Georgian Bay OPP reminding the public about the importance of locking your car. On Monday at about 1 in the afternoon, police say somebody had their car running and they ran into a local business. Somebody hopped into that vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was found a short time later. No suspect was arrested. And fresh off his nine-day trip around the world, drumming up investment, the Prime Minister is back in Canada. Mark Carney and his Cabinet ministers will gather today in Quebec City for a two-day retreat ahead of the resumption of Parliament Monday. Leafs host Vegas tomorrow at 7. In the NBA, the Raptors beat Sacramento 1 22-109. They're in Portland tomorrow. PWHL tonight, Toronto is in Vancouver at 10.
