Well, a special weather statement calling for significant rain tonight into tomorrow. JD will keep you posted in the forecast as the price of gas continues to rise. The price of crude oil actually dropped overnight significantly. Yesterday was trading over a barrel. This morning it was down to about 87 bucks. However, the price of gas is not expected to drop. As MPs debated the war in Iran last night, calling for clarity from the government, the Prime Minister was not at the debate. According to official numbers, since the war started, at least 1,200 people killed just in Iran, 400 people in Lebanon, 11 in Israel, 7 U.S. service members also died. Police in Owen Sound say an officer was bitten multiple times by a dog during an impaired driving arrest Saturday, prompting another officer to intervene and shoot the animal. Police say they were called after a concerned citizen reported a white pickup driving erratically near 16th Street East. Police say officers were attempting to arrest the suspect when a dog inside the truck attacked, biting several times when a second officer intervened. Police say the dog then reportedly charged at a third officer who shot the animal. An Ontario hospital said a virtual waiting room to address overcrowding in the has helped reduce wait times by about half. According to the VP of Medical Affairs at a Sault Ste. Marie hospital, the virtual waiting room opened in August and results have been encouraging for patients with less urgent concerns. He said on top of the wait times reduced by half, time spent in the also dropped by half for patients using the tool. And the second annual Gray Bruce OPP Polar Plunge raised over $10,000.
