Public health officials around the world are grappling with the science of testing as passengers from an Atlantic cruise ship hit with Hantavirus have returned to their home countries. Ten passengers who arrived recently in Canada show no symptoms but are quarantined or self-isolating depending on their possibility of exposure. Experts say it's not clear whether it's useful to test people who may have been exposed to Hantavirus but don't have symptoms. The law retroactively applies to any migrant who entered Canada irregularly after June 2020, making them ineligible to apply for asylum. In recent weeks, the federal government has sent out an estimated 30,000 letters to claimants informing them they are ineligible for a refugee hearing. Srinivara of the Canadian Council of Refugees says the letters are sending people into a panic and in a state of uncertainty immediately after arrival. Iran did not immediately acknowledge the allegation by Kuwait today. Kuwait has come under repeated attack by Iran during the war. Kuwait said it detained four of the men, while two escaped. Meantime, the US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, says Israel has sent iron dome anti-missile batteries and personnel to the United Arab Emirates to defend the country during the Iran War. In sports, the Toronto Blue Jays will send left-hander Patrick Corbin to the mound today when they face the visiting Tampa Bay Rays in the middle set of their three-game series. The Rays, who have won 15 of their last 17, will have lefty Shane McClanahan on the mound. The Rays beat the Jays 8-5 yesterday. JD will keep you up to date on the weather throughout the morning.
