It's Wednesday, April 8th. Good morning. Happy hump day. Sunny, windy and warmer today with a high of nine. The dollar trading 72.11 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. OPP in Wellington County asking for the public's help to find a person missing since Sunday. 53-year-old Benjamin Stewart of Arthur is described as white, 6 feet, blue eyes, white hair and a white goatee. Police say he was last spotted at about 2 in the afternoon near Frederick Street, but he's known to frequent the Wyerton area. Tragedy at a nearby high school will see it closed until at least the end of the week. OPP say a person was critically injured after emergency crews were called to a Wingham high school for reports a person was on fire. OPP were called to F.E. Mattel Secondary in North Huron just after 8. Anybody with video footage related to the incident is requested not to distribute it. The Prime Minister was in the GTA yesterday to talk about his plans to dole out $51 billion in infrastructure spending announced from the budget. That includes nearly $28 billion over the next decade, with the remaining to be matched by provinces and territories and used to reduce the cost of new housing and build health care facilities. Ontario will use its allotment to waive sales tax on eligible new homes for the next year. And there's apparently been a ceasefire in the Middle East. Iran, the U.S. and Israel say they've reached a deal for a two-week ceasefire. Tehran said negotiations with the U.S. will happen in Islamabad beginning on Friday, although Israel's prime minister made it clear he's going to continue bombing Lebanon. Light 99-3 sports, baseball yesterday, the Jays lost another one to the Dodgers, this time 4-1. Jays manager meanwhile, John Schneider, got a bit over-emotional after a call he didn't like and was ejected in the 5th. A home series wraps up with one more game this afternoon at 3. In the NBA last night, the Raptors beat Miami 121.95. They host Miami again tomorrow at 7. NHL last night, a full slate of games. Among them, Montreal beat Florida in a shootout. Ottawa beat Tampa Bay. Calgary lost in overtime. Edmonton lost in OT as well. Vancouver also lost. Leafs host Washington tonight at 7.30.
