Good Wednesday morning, December 3rd. A snow squall watch is now in effect off Lake Huron in Georgian Bay. The dollar trading 71.58 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. Well, Environment Canada just issuing that watch for today, covering regions with 15 to 30 centimeters of snow, possibly. Now it is supposed to start late tonight through to tomorrow afternoon. Environment Canada warns the possibility of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Southern Georgian Bay OPP have charged a woman after police were alerted by an automatic license plate reader that a vehicle was reported stolen. Police said the officer stopped the vehicle at about noon Monday, identified the driver. In addition to being in possession of a stolen vehicle, she was apparently prohibited from driving and bound by a probation order. 28-year-old Lisa Pettigrew faces several charges. Police in Midland called to a collision early Monday evening and charged a woman with impaired. At about 7 o'clock, police say a single vehicle collision reported on Manly Avenue. Officers say a minivan left the road and was stuck in a snowbank. A 49-year-old Midland woman was charged. With the sky-high cost of health care, it looks like some doctors have only made things worse. According to the Auditor General, some doctors have been billing for more than 24 hours in a day. According to an analysis, every year at least 59 doctors billed OHIP for the past three years for more hours than there are in a day. Auditor also found a lot of PPE waste. Ontario was thrown out 1.4 billion in PPE since 2021. What's more disturbing, the government continues to purchase it at the same levels during the height of the pandemic, despite a significant decrease in demand. Ontario's student standardized test results are set to be made public today. Results from the math and literacy testing by EQAO are normally released earlier in the fall, but the education minister delayed the release. Paul Calandra said he wanted to take a deep dive into the results, suggesting changes could be coming. Late 99-3 Sports NBA last night. The Raptors beat Portland 121-118.
