Here's what's making news this hour. Gray Bruce OPP are investigating after two alleged thefts from a farm stand in Georgian Bluffs. Police say a female suspect attended a farm stand at a residence on Highway 6 last Thursday and stole various items before leaving in a white Kia Soul vehicle. Gray Bruce OPP Constable Cody Lyons says approximately 9 P.m. last Thursday the same suspect returned in the same vehicle and stole additional items. The OPP have released a photo of the suspect they are trying to identify. Police did not disclose specific information about where exactly the alleged thefts occurred along Highway 6 Georgian Bluffs, but anyone with information to assist is being asked to contact Gray Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers. Unqualified drivers are ending up on the road as the province fails to effectively monitor commercial truck driving and licensing regimes. This from the Auditor General's office, which has uncovered career colleges have cut corners on training hours and skills and found little oversight from 2 provincial ministries. The auditor has filed 13 recommendations to the province, which has accepted all of them. Commercial truck drivers account for a disproportionate number of fatalities on Ontario's roads, and the problem is extremely acute in northern Ontario. Ontario's Auditor General had a lot to say about the province's new artificial intelligence transcription services for doctors. Shelley Spence says the so-called AI scribe software is at risk of providing inaccurate information and outright hallucinations. She claims it was not evaluated adequately before implementation. Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Stephen Crawford says medical practitioners will always review the notes before a decision is made. And the Prime Minister and a few Ottawa venues will be playing host to some visitors from outer space today. The 4 astronauts who wowed the world with their record-breaking 10-day journey to the far side of the moon last month have a series of events in the nation's capital. Canadian Jeremy Hansen and his American Artemis 2 crewmates will meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney and then some students at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Later, they'll take part in a sold-out public discussion at the National Arts Centre about their mission and its effect on future space exploration. In sports, the only Canadian NHL team left in the Stanley Cup playoffs lost game four of its second round series last night with the Buffalo Sabres. The Montreal Canadiens 3-2 loss at home means the series is tied up at two games apiece as they return to Buffalo to play game 5 tomorrow night.
