Lite 99.3 Raises $70,000 for Local Healthcare Through Annual On-Air for Healthcare Radiothon
Meaford, Ontario (Georgian Bay), January 26, 2026 – Lite 99.3 is pleased to announce that its annual On-Air for Healthcare Radiothon, in support of the Meaford Hospital Foundation, raised $70,000 to support critical local healthcare needs.
The Radiothon was broadcast live on Saturday, December 20, from the Lite 99.3 studios located in the Godard’s Independent Plaza on Highway 26 in Meaford, on the shores of Georgian Bay. Throughout the day, the station dedicated its on-air programming, digital platforms, and community outreach efforts to sharing local stories, highlighting the importance of accessible healthcare, and encouraging listeners across the region to participate and give.
While the live broadcast concluded in December, donations continued to arrive in the weeks that followed, bringing the final fundraising total to $70,000 - a clear reflection of the community’s ongoing generosity and commitment to supporting healthcare close to home.
Reflecting on the impact of the Radiothon, Paul Evanov, President and CEO of Evanov Communications, emphasized the importance of local radio as a catalyst for community connection and action: “Local radio has a unique ability to bring people together around causes that truly matter. The funds raised will directly support the Meaford Hospital Foundation’s efforts to equip healthcare professionals with essential medical tools and technology. Over the past two years, Lite 99.3’s On-Air for Healthcare Radiothon has raised a combined $170,000 across the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, reinforcing the station’s ongoing commitment to using its platform to unite listeners, businesses, and community organizations in support of vital local causes.
