In the Rice household, mentioning Taylor Swift’s name might lead to a financial consequence. Dana Rice, a realtor based in Bethesda, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., became an internet sensation, amassing over 9.8 million views on Instagram, thanks to her husband’s creation of a “Taylor Swift jar.” Although she considered herself a casual fan of the singer, Rice didn’t fully embrace the “Swiftie” fandom until Taylor Swift’s Eras tour began. Intrigued by the singer’s business acumen and powerhouse presence in the industry, Rice’s interest piqued. Her admiration reached new heights when she got a ticket to the Eras tour.  One day, while chatting in the kitchen with her hubby Dan, Dana noticed he was about to establish the jar – a subtle strategy aimed directly at her. The rules were simple: every mention of Taylor Swift or her boyfriend Travis Kelce would cost her a quarter. The jar, labeled “Taylor Swift Jar – Any mention of T. Swift and you owe $0.25. I can’t take it anymore — Travis Kelce included,” resembled the familiar concept of a “swear jar,” where people deposit money as a penalty for using inappropriate language.  Dana willingly abided by the rules, diligently contributing all the quarters herself. She jokingly said: “Since he supplied me with all the quarters, I absolutely have put all the quarters in there. And I will be using them for Taylor Swift tickets in the future — that is for sure. I have to, right?”
